In the 1980s, Shinji Takahashi, president of 45R, aimed to design unique jeans amid Japan's mass production limits. After overcoming challenges with factories and banks, he partnered with KAPITAL to create the first 100 pairs, propelling 45R into a brand that evolved in style and quality while solidifying denim as its signature.

Through a special connection, 45R crossed paths with French photographer Olivier Kervern, marking the beginning of our season visuals. Using an old Japanese film camera, Olivier’s analog approach resonates beautifully with 45R’s own handcrafted spirit — together capturing images that feel like quiet scenes from a film. Taken place in different cities every season, the images portray a unique language and vibe to connect with customers.
