About SIXTH NIGHT

“He is not shaping those features with the chisel. He is simply revealing the eyebrows and nose already hidden within the wood—like unearthing a stone from the earth, guided by certainty.”

—Sōseki Natsume, Ten Nights of Dreams, “The Sixth Night”

Origin of Brand Name—SIXTH NIGHT

The  brand name is inspired by “The Sixth Night,” one of the stories in Ten Nights of Dreams by the literary master Sōseki Natsume.

In this tale, Unkei—the legendary sculptor of the late Heian and early Kamakura periods—appears in the Meiji era, effortlessly carving Niō guardian statues from wood, not creating but revealing what has always been there.

Unkei is portrayed as a symbol of ancient culture and technique.

The making of

The brand philosophy: to reveal the inherent beauty that lies dormant in the world.

We work with time-honored Japanese metalworking techniques passed down through generations, and gemstones shaped over tens of millions of years by the forces of nature.

This union of tradition and time gives rise to jewelry of enduring beauty—pieces that transcend generations and speak quietly to the essence of elegance.
