Continuing its ongoing dialogue between fashion and art, ANTEPRIMA has long collaborated with artists to create wearable art — transcending boundaries and inventing new forms of expression. In the Spring-Summer 2026 collection, ANTEPRIMA embarks on a vibrant journey where the impermanent becomes profound, the fragile transforms into strength, and the everyday is reimagined into the extraordinary.

Inspired by contemporary Japanese artist Iwasaki Takahiro, this season celebrates the poetry of transience, drawing from his intricate, meditative works that explore the delicate balance between memory, scale, and perception — a reminder that beauty often lies in the fleeting.

Born in Hiroshima in 1975, Iwasaki Takahiro is an internationally acclaimed contemporary artist known for his exquisitely detailed miniature sculptures and installations. His works challenge the viewer’s perception, inviting a closer look to discover hidden worlds within intricate details. His upbringing in Hiroshima—a city that has endured both devastation and rebirth—profoundly shaped his philosophy. Themes of life's transience, the memory of place, and deep respect for materials resonate throughout his body of work. These very elements are deeply woven into the spirit of the ANTEPRIMA SS26 collection, giving rise to creations filled with renewed vitality and hope.

WIREBAG Art

Inspired by Takahiro Iwasaki's inverted cityscapes and suspended structures, intricate architectural silhouettes are woven from WIRE; everyday materials like brooms are reconfigured upon the WIREBAG; the miniature Lucchetto Miniatura Wirebag, featuring a twist lock, evolves into a playful, mirror-like design.

ANTEPRIMA WIREBAG is also reimagined to alternative fashion playfulness. The classic square Standard Miniature Wirebag and Twist Wirebag are accented with bold colour-blocking and geometric stripes, matched with colourful Wire Straps that transform into a uniquely personalized fashion accessory.

Iwasaki Takahiro is recognized as one of Japan’s leading contemporary artists. He creates intricately detailed models that reinterpret iconic historical buildings and contemporary Japanese cityscapes. His most acclaimed works are from the Reflection model series that focuses on Japanese sacred buildings and the reflections they cast in the water that surrounds them.
