Capturing the essence of transience and memory

ANTEPRIMA continues to deepen the dialogue between fashion and art, collaborating with artists over the years to create Wearable Art. In Fall-Winter 2026 collection, ANTEPRIMA explores the invisible architecture of time — its quiet presence, its shifting forms, and the traces it leaves behind. This season draws inspiration from celebrated contemporary artist Miyanaga Aiko, known for her poetic installations that give form to the invisible — particularly time, memory, and transformation. The ANTEPRIMA Fall/Winter 2026 collection transcends the boundary between fashion and art, redefining the act of dressing as carrying time and memory within oneself.

Art Inspirations

Miyanaga Aiko is a celebrated contemporary artist known for her poetic installations that give form to the invisible — particularly time, memory, and transformation. Her work often employs ephemeral materials such as salt and naphthalene, which naturally dissolve or change over time, allowing her sculptures to evolve and disappear, embodying the very concept of transience. This season, ANTEPRIMA joins hands with Miyanaga Aiko, hoping to present a collection that quietly embodies strength and gentle continuity as a vessel of time

SEASONAL COLOR

Each look centers on a monotone palette, forming a deep dialogue with the rhythms of nature. The journey begins with crystalline white, then gradually moves into misty grey, midnight blue, mossy green, earthy brown, and finally into a time worn golden bronze, before returning to pure white — a symbol of impermanent purity. Altogether, the collection presents a soft, clean, and minimalist sense of quiet elegance.

DESIGN HIGHLIGHT

Structure and fluidity


This season’s collection interweaves warmth with clarity, using translucent textures to capture the passing of time. Its silhouettes balance structure and flow, lightness and strength. Draped cape-like outerwear and naturally falling skirt panels express the quiet movement of time. Air-light chiffon trousers and the nearly transparent knitted skirt embody an experimental attempt to give form to the artist’s exploration of the invisible, evoking imagery of memories crystallized in time.

Quiet and poetic charm 


An oversized cable knit sweater, with its subtly brushed surface, carries the gentle traces of time, while its intentionally untrimmed edges lend a natural, lingering softness to the piece. A reversed jacquard knit reveals the hidden structure beneath the surface, highlighting the raw, unrefined beauty of what lies beneath. This inversion of texture becomes a metaphor for time’s quiet imprint, where the inside becomes the outside, and imperfection becomes form.

Softness and strength


This season’s coats feature rounded, fluid sleeves in place of rigid straight lines, preserving a sense of softness paired with strength. This season also highlights the layering of skirts and trousers, adding depth and dimension, and creating a unified, harmonious visual composition.

FW26 WIREBAG

In response to the theme of “wearing time and memory,” ANTEPRIMA draws inspiration from Aiko Miyanaga’s art, creating a series of “WIREBAG ART” pieces.

The butterfly motif in the classic square STANDARD MINIATURA WIREBAG features a 999 pure silver vapor-deposited film, used without the protective PVC coating. Due to the lack of a protective layer, the silver reacts with the air and may discolor over time. This specification embraces the changes that occur with the environment and the passage of time as "memories," expressing the season's theme of "wearing time and memories." 

A WIREBAG adorned with transparent beads—each bead encasing a tiny bubble—embodies the concept of ‘capturing time to feel its passage,’ echoing the poetic sensibility found in Miyanaga’s work.

A bag with knitted organza tape. This tape is printed with the sheet music for "The Blue Bird," an a cappella piece by Stanford, which is a favorite song of Miyanaga. While the Wirebag itself is knitted from a single wire and visualizes the passage of time, the incorporation of the organza tape adds a new element of knitting a song into the piece. The design is intended so that as it is used, its history is recorded, and changes such as fraying are visible as part of that process.

The organic oval-shaped bags are inspired by Miyanaga’s artwork, with a form that resembles shapes encased in molten glass. This bag is decorated with irregular pearls encapsulated in organic-shaped transparent resin.
