45R Indigo Down

At 45R, warmth begins with the material. For the Indigo Vest, carefully selected down is washed in soft water to protect each feather, then filled into garments designed for comfort, character and everyday ease. Deep indigo tones, thoughtful details and a touch of playfulness come together in layers made for the colder months.

WARMTH, CHOSEN WITH CARE

The down used in this collection is produced at the Ishikawa factory in Mie Prefecture, Japan. It is washed with ultra-soft water, which requires less detergent and has a low mineral content that helps protect the feathers. The down is stored in wooden boxes and has a fill power of over 700—a measure of how well down expands under pressure. The higher the fill power, the more loft, warmth and lightness it offers. Each batch is also examined under a microscope before use.

BACK SATEEN X NYLON 908 UNISEX VEST

This down vest combines back sateen—cotton satin used with its reverse side facing out—with old-fashioned nylon that has a matte, slightly crisp hand. A bold double zipper adds a playful accent, while the shawl collar is finished with wide ribbing. The deep, chic indigo gives the vest a rich presence, bringing together serious warmth, thoughtful details and a touch of playfulness. Look closely at the duck embroidery on the lining and you may notice it forms a certain kanji character.

The Back Sateen × Nylon 908 Vest with a Dumbo Collar takes the same thoughtful approach to material and warmth, while introducing a distinctive silhouette. A generously sized Dumbo collar gives this vest a playful shape, with a cap tucked away inside. Its flared silhouette opens out like a tent, leaving plenty of room for winter layers. Back sateen meets old-fashioned nylon with a matte, slightly crisp hand, while carefully selected down brings comforting warmth.
