ATSURO TAYAMA Spring-Summer 2024
Summer Cool Tee collection
Atsuro Tayama builds on the SS24 leitmotif “URBAN NATURE” with this SUMMER COOL TEE collection combining a cooling sensation and comfort. The intricate floral motifs, inspired by the Iris Pallida -the national flower of France, are a nod to the city's historical and cultural significance. These designs, along with zigzag and plaid patterns reminiscent of traditional French textiles, capture the essence of Parisian style.
These summer tees come in five iterations in black, white, beige, military green and orange. Three defining fits allow for diverse styling, including a classic yet relaxed Boxy Cut, Irregular Cut that plays with volumes, and a versatile Dress Cut.
The boxy cut with adjustable sleeve straps provides a flattering silhouette and fashionable touch.
The irregular cut makes a bold, avant-garde fashion statement.
The dress cut with its fixed sleeve straps offers a refined and sculptural look.
Stay cool with the avant - garde elegance
Tapes in various materials are used to twist into exquisite flower shapes, zigzag, and plaid patterns. Each piece in this collection reflects the spirit of Paris, blending contemporary design with classic elegance. The avant-garde designs are available in three distinctive cuts, each tailored to offer versatility and sophistication.
Eco-friendly SORONA Cool Touch fabric
The collection also emphasizes comfortable functionality with SORONA, a cooling fabric that is breathable, soft and easy-to-care-for, to offer comfort while contributing to environment and sustainability – the material is made from renewable synthetic fibres via processes with low energy consumption and carbon emissions. Eco- and summer-friendly, SORONA will keep you cool during hot summer!
The IRIS floral motif
Mr Atsuro Tayama’s expertise in combining clean lines with clever details is reflected in the house’s signature handmade three-dimensional floral design made from sashes in different materials. For this season iris, the national flower of France, is featured as a floral applique in the front, brought to life in a bold, oversized style to add a playful dimension to your summer look.
The motifs inspired by the Iris Pallida which is said to have been a gift from Jesus to the first King of France, where the brand originated. Known as the “Blue Butterfly Iris” due to its butterfly-like shape and vibrant blue-purple color, the avant-garde, oversized motifs on the front are meticulously crafted from chiffon or denim tapes.
